My name is Lesley-Anne and I
was born in 1996.
I am a self-taught piano player and dancer. I am originally from London/Essex
but I have lived on The Wirral, near Liverpool since I was 5. |

Shortly before my grandmother died she
gave me a
small, children's size Yamaha "Musicstation" keyboard. I didn't really use it at
first but when she died I started to look at it and discovered that I could teach myself to play
by ear. My fingers were really too large for the small keys so my Mum
and Dad bought me a 61 key keyboard with regular size keys and in just 3 months I was able to fully play
Beethoven's Fur Elise. Realizing that I was restricted by the short keyboard, my Mum and
Dad bought me a full size 88 key piano for my 13th Birthday.
After 2 years of practice without any lessons, just by ear, I taught myself to play a range of music from classical to pop,
Jazz, Blues, Honky Tonk and Rock and Roll. Sadly, my grandmother never got to see me
play. I now have 4 adult size keyboards, 3 Yamaha and 1 Roland, that I use
in different musical situations. I also have a Roland Synthesizer and have
also taught myself to play Harmonica, Ukulele, Banjo and Guitar. I had been playing for
only 2 years when I was first
invited to play with professional musicians in Spain and I now play in the
UK with only 4 years since I started playing. |

When the music teacher at my
high school heard me playing I was
invited to join the school orchestra and in July 2011 I toured Holland, and
Germany with the orchestra. |

I love classical music plus pop, Jazz,
Blues, Rock n roll and old-time music. I love especially love music from my dad's era, 50's,
60's, Skiffle, Rock n Roll and the music of Chas 'n Dave. I saw Chas n Dave
live in March 2011 on their farewell tour and they are a great
influence on my piano playing. I also saw them live in December 2011 for
their Christmas Jamboree in London at the IndigO2 and I was privileged to be
able to meet Chas Hodges before the show. Studying Chas n Dave's music also introduced
me to Jerry Lee Lewis' style of Rock and Roll which is now an influence on my
playing. I enjoy arranging music, such as Glen Miller Big Band music,
into the style of Jerry Lee. |

Whilst on holiday in Benidorm I met one
of Spain's top cabaret artists, Pablo Bloom, and in October 2011 he invited me to appear as
a guest in his "Rock and Roll Time Machine" show during my half term school holiday.
Again in July and October 2012 I appeared as a guest artist with Pablo
Bloom and also other Benidorm top artists, John The Fiddler and The Cabeytu
Brothers.
I have toured as a guest artist in some of Benidorm's most famous music venues and played Rock and Roll music by Jerry Lee Lewis,
Chuck Berry, little Richard, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Queen and others. Pablo Bloom
has also been a great help to me and has introduced me to other performers
and managers in the Benidorm Music Scene. I can't thank him
enough for giving me the opportunity to perform with him and for his help. Please check out
my photos and video excerpts.
While
performing in Benidorm I met the singer/instrumentalist from UK Band
"Coulrophobia" and I am now regularly appearing with them in the
UK as a guest artist. See my performance page and video page for
details. In April 2013 I appeared in a
variety show "Spotlight On Youth" at the Floral Pavilion Theatre,
New Brighton, Merseyside and performed my solo act in front of over
an audience of over 800 people including the Mayor of Wirral.
In December 2013 a famous Multi-Instrumental
act from Spain, Cabeytú Brothers, toured the UK and I performed as a
support act at their show in Runcorn, Cheshire. |

August and October 2013 were a special
milestone in my Benidorm performances because I was given the
opportunity to perform my own show at two major Benidorm nightclubs,
Heartbreak Hotel Levante Beachfront and Heartbreak Gerona. Again, in
April 2014 I performed my own show at Uncle Ped's and I returned
for the summer season and Benidorm Fiestas 2014 with my own show at various Benidorm cabaret
bars. I also met a well established Benidorm performer, Beto Fassani,
while there and he invited me to be part of his act (Palanca y Cambio) at
the Western Saloon and also at The Rock and Roll House. I am now proudly performing in the duo and I am currently spending most of my time in Spain. 2015 started
well for me because in January I became contracted as a permanent act in
Benidorm.
I have a GCSE and A-Level in music and
even though I taught myself, I obtained an A* for my piano performance of "I
Wish That I Could Write A Love Song" by Chas Hodges. I also have a GCSE in Dance plus Royal Acadamy of Dance qualifications in
ballet, tap and Jazz.
Music has always been a part of my life
- I have been dancing since I was 3 years
old and I have
appeared on stage 6 times as a dancer, the most recent
was in Snow White and
Legends at
The
Floral Pavillion, New Brighton in April 2013. However, my life
as a musician seems now to have taken over.
If you are on holiday in Benidorm at
any time, please come and say Hi to me if you see my/our show.
